Lullaby (Watersong #2)

Lullaby is a book by Amanda Hocking and is the second book in the series, Watersong. In this book, Gemma has already become a siren, which basically means she has to rip boys' hearts out to live.
Not the most ideal living conditions, right?

Harper, Gemma's caring sister, knows that Gemma isn't human anymore, but she'll still do anything to return Gemma safely home. However, Gemma worries that Harper won't love her anymore if she finds out what her sister has turned into: something much worse than Harper's ideas.

On the way to rescue Gemma, Harper becomes closer to Daniel, a handsome sailor that may or may not love her. She has to deal with whether or not love can be incorporated into her rescue plan, and if not, then she'll have to say good-bye to him. Sadly.

I really enjoyed this book because it showed how a family will go to almost any resort to save one another. I give it 4 stars because I would have liked to see Thea's POV, as well. Thea had once been in Gemma's predicament and I wondered what Thea may have been thinking as she saw Gemma go through the same transition. Also, I feel like Gemma's emotions after doing a terrible act (can't say: spoiler alert) weren't portrayed very well.
